Resident Evil 2 Remake on track?

A few internet sources are reporting that the Resident Evil 2 remake is on track. Mostly due to a video comment from a user named RikkTheGaijin, who is presumably a Capcom artist.

With the Resident Evil 2 20th anniversary quickly approaching, it would be exciting to finally get official confirmation in a reveal trailer.

  1. -> UPDATE <- As of 1/4/18 Resident Evil Plus has discovered an ominous image on Capcom's official BIOHAZARD Twitter account.

    Could this mean a new reveal? Could that title finally be the Resident Evil 2 remake?

  2. –> UPDATE <-- As of 12/26/17 we know that Alyson Court and Matt Mercer will not be reprising their roles as Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

    Although, due to the SAG-AFTRA voice actor’s strike which has ended, it *could* be possible for Mercer and Court to come back as Leon and Claire.

    According to Court as well, two companies have been competing for the Voice and MoCap contracts.
